I need a pillow; Let's see what I can make!

So here's the material I found in my stash.  An old shirt, a skirt and three pillow cases.  I knew I wanted a bird on my pillow, so my wonderful husband sketched one out for me.

I needed to be able to wash the pillow, so I used the ties from the skirt to close the end of the pillow case.  Even though I loved the material of the shirt I didn't end up using it.

I liked the way it turned out.  It only took one day and the only cost was in the pillow cases.  I bought them from a thrift store for $0.70.  I have enough material to make a second pillow!
